My Perfect Cosy Game (And Why Nobody Has Built It Yet)

I have played enough cosy games now to know exactly what I want. Nobody has built it yet. So allow me to describe it in full and leave this here as a formal pitch to any game developers who happen to stumble across this blog. The game is called Im Just a Girl. Let us get into it.

The World

You wake up in a beautiful, cosy, aesthetically perfect little world and your day is completely your own. No stress, no deadlines, no emails. Just you, your unlimited budget, and a trip to what I can only describe as the ultimate shopping experience. Think M&S if you are in the UK. Think Trader Joe's or Target if you are in the States. Not a single price tag that makes you wince because in Im Just a Girl the budget does not exist. The aesthetic is warm, soft, and vivid. Think bright colours, cosy interiors, a world that looks like someone designed it specifically to make you feel calm.

The Pace

Somewhere between Animal Crossing and Disney Dreamlight Valley. Unhurried but with enough to do that you never feel lost or bored. You set your own rhythm. Some days you do everything. Some days you potter. The game does not punish you for either and it absolutely does not send a scorpion after you if you play at night.

The Characters

You build your own. Full Sims level character creation. But it does not stop there. You can add anyone you want. Friends. Family. That one coworker who sends emails at 11pm. Your situationship. Your situationship's replacement. Whoever you need in your world on any given day, you can put them there. And somewhere in this world, non negotiable, there is a matcha station. Always stocked, always perfect, available at all times. This is not up for discussion.

The Activities

Errands but make them enjoyable. Quests that feel like the best version of a to do list where everything goes right and you get rewarded at the end. After completing your quests you get a Deliveroo or DoorDash order. Sushi or Korean BBQ are the correct answers but the game respects your autonomy.

The Decorating

Three tiers because not everyone comes to this game with an interior design degree and the current state of my Dreamlight Valley is proof of that. Tier one is guided with inspiration boards and gentle nudges for those of us whose vision exceeds our execution. Tier two is a middle ground. Tier three is completely open, no guardrails, just pure creative chaos for the people who actually know what they are doing.

The Quests

Girlie things. Handsome man things. Whatever floats your boat things. No violence. No blood. No jump scares. No scorpions. No complicated mechanics that require a tutorial longer than the actual game. Just fun. Just vibes. Just a girl or a guy or whoever you are, living their best digital life at their own pace.

Im Just a Girl does not exist yet and I think that is one of the great injustices of the gaming world. If anyone with the ability to build this happens to be reading, my DMs are open, I have notes, and I am available for a creative consultation at any time. You are welcome in advance.
